Jakarta, InfoPublik – The International Healthcare Engineering Forum (INAHEF) 2024 aims to improve the quality and quantity of SMART Healthcare Service Facilities (Fasyankes), emphasizing Safety, Quality, Security, Friendliness, and Affordability. This statement was delivered by the Secretary-General of the National Standardization Agency (BSN), Donny Purnomo, during the opening of INAHEF 2024 in South Jakarta on Tuesday (17/9/2024).
INAHEF 2024 seeks to draft the implementation plan for the government's 2024-2029 programs, particularly in the healthcare sector. The event also gathers input from regional stakeholders to be applied nationwide through congresses. Additionally, the forum evaluates the compliance of SMART Hospital supporting products with applicable regulations and awards industries that meet regulatory standards.
“BSN, as the institution entrusted with developing Indonesia's national standards and establishing their implementation systems, hopes that as the government expands the healthcare equipment industry in Indonesia, we can gradually become self-reliant, especially given the rapid technological advancements in healthcare equipment,” Donny stated.
INAHEF 2024 is a forum initiated and supported by the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), and BSN. It is organized by the Indonesian Healthcare Engineering Association (PTPI) in collaboration with industries, universities, associations, and regional governments.
“This event (INAHEF 2024) is also attended by several international partners from the healthcare industry. We hope to establish mutually beneficial partnerships to advance Indonesia’s healthcare equipment industry. Moreover, this event is expected to serve as a networking platform for all healthcare equipment stakeholders,” Donny added.
Professor Eko, President of the International Healthcare Engineering Association (PTPKI), stated that INAHEF 2024 serves as a platform to collect valuable input for improving the quality of healthcare equipment, optimizing healthcare services in Indonesia.
“This forum can become a source of knowledge for all of us to formulate plans for managing healthcare facilities and infrastructure in Indonesia,” Prof. Eko explained.
The event focuses on three main programs: free health screenings for priority diseases, the END TB 2023 initiative for tuberculosis control, and fulfilling the needs for comprehensive and modern healthcare service facilities across all districts and cities in Indonesia. Two additional topics include the development of a domestic healthcare industry model and financial models for healthcare facilities and equipment.
INAHEF 2024 encourages active participation from all attendees, including central and regional governments, healthcare service facilities, universities, professional associations, as well as healthcare consultants and contractors. All parties are expected to collaborate to achieve healthcare transformation and realize SMART Hospitals in Indonesia.
According to InfoPublik’s observations, INAHEF 2024 features dozens of booths from healthcare equipment companies. The event also includes activities such as exhibitions, congresses, seminars, and health screenings.
